June 11, 2008 · Filed Under Cheerleading, Community Relations, Trampoline and Tumbling · Comment

It is that time of year again, when Epworth Children and Family Services hosts its annual benefit Polo Match and Dinner. After our first appearance last year, St. Louis Elite has been invited back to perform once again at half-time of the polo match. Our athletes will also be demonstrating some of their skills in the family fun area before the match starts, so if you are out at the polo fields make sure you stop by and say hi.

We had a blast last year, as you can tell from these photos.

It’s always a great day when we can have some fun while helping out a good cause.

“GoodShop” for Father’s Day - help raise money for St. Louis Elite

June 5, 2008 · Filed Under Cheerleading, Fundraising, Trampoline and Tumbling · Comment

With Father’s Day coming up, now is the time to get your favorite guy his favorite things. This year, why not shop through GoodShop for your online Father’s Day shopping needs. For every purchase you make through GoodShop, St. Louis Elite gets a percentage ranging from as low as .5% up to as much as 7% or more of the purchase.

For example, buy Dad a new iPod Touch from Apple (about $300) and St. Louis Elite gets $3 (1%). Buy him a new gas grill from Home Depot ($450) and St. Louis Elite gets $9 (2%). Buy him a PS3 and RockBand at GameStop or EB Games (about $600) and St. Louis Elite gets about $12 (2%). Get him a new set of X-20 irons from Callaway Golf ($899) and St. Louis Elite gets $40!!! (I think you get the idea.)

Before you start shopping, make sure that “St. Louis Elite nfpc (Hazelwood, MO)” shows up in the “Who do you GoodShop For?” box.

And remember, GoodShop isn’t just for Father’s Day. You can (should!!!) use it for all of your internet shopping needs (even E-Bay!!).

Regionals 2008

In addition to being Regional Champion on Trampoline, Henry Baer also won a spot on the Regional All-Star Team for trampoline. The Regional All-Stars are normally Level 10 athletes, but because there are no Region IV Level 10 trampolinists in Henry’s age group, his victory on trampoline earned him the spot on the All-Stars team.

“The team did a fantastic job at the competition against challenging opponents,” said head coach Eric Miller. “Henry will be our third Regional All-Star in three years, which is very exciting!”

The final competition of the season for St. Louis Elite will be the 2008 Junior Olympic National Championships in Kansas City, Missouri. Eleven athletes from St. Louis Elite will be competing for national titles to finish off an exciting and successful season.
