“GoodShop” for Father’s Day - help raise money for St. Louis Elite

June 5, 2008 · Filed Under Cheerleading, Fundraising, Trampoline and Tumbling · Comment

With Father’s Day coming up, now is the time to get your favorite guy his favorite things. This year, why not shop through GoodShop for your online Father’s Day shopping needs. For every purchase you make through GoodShop, St. Louis Elite gets a percentage ranging from as low as .5% up to as much as 7% or more of the purchase.

For example, buy Dad a new iPod Touch from Apple (about $300) and St. Louis Elite gets $3 (1%). Buy him a new gas grill from Home Depot ($450) and St. Louis Elite gets $9 (2%). Buy him a PS3 and RockBand at GameStop or EB Games (about $600) and St. Louis Elite gets about $12 (2%). Get him a new set of X-20 irons from Callaway Golf ($899) and St. Louis Elite gets $40!!! (I think you get the idea.)

Before you start shopping, make sure that “St. Louis Elite nfpc (Hazelwood, MO)” shows up in the “Who do you GoodShop For?” box.

And remember, GoodShop isn’t just for Father’s Day. You can (should!!!) use it for all of your internet shopping needs (even E-Bay!!).

Meet Me in St. Louis 2008 a huge success

March 31, 2008 · Filed Under Competition, Fundraising, Trampoline and Tumbling · Comment

Medal Over 150 athletes from 15 gyms (in three states) converged on Lindbergh High School last Friday night and Saturday for the 1st (hopefully annual) Meet Me in St. Louis, a USA Gymnastics sanctioned Trampoline and Tumbling Meet. By almost any standard, the meet was a huge success.

The following comment from an athlete’s parent, posted to the Meet Me in St. Louis website, is typical of what we heard on Saturday during the meet.

Congrats on your first meet!! I wanted to let you know that your meet was, hands down, the most organized and best planned meet we’ve ever been to.

We really appreciated the Fri. night training, the fantastic concessions (with reasonable prices), and the website (maps, area attractions, spectator info, etc.) We actually ended up spending a second night to take in some of what St. Louis has to offer!!

At the meet, everyone was very helpful and friendly!! Thanks for a great time. I plan on telling our coach to put this meet on our calendar next year!!

P.S. The medals are AWESOME. (editor’s note: that’s a picture of the medal up above)

Planning and executing this meet was a team effort with folks from St. Louis Elite Tramp and Tumble (obviously) all pitching in and working together, and help and assistance from St. Louis Elite Cheerleading and the staff at Kids World Gymnastics .

Thank you to everyone who helped.

Support the St. Louis Elite Tramp and Tumble 2008 competition season

With the first meet of the season behind us, the St. Louis Elite Tramp and Tumble team is looking forward to the rest of the season. We have 5 more meets, including our own Meet Me In St. Louis 2008 in March, before the “post-season” of State, Regional, and National Championships. As this Google Map shows, the team will be spending some time traveling the Midwest.

As you can imagine, participating in these meets can become expensive. Costs include meet entry fees and travel expenses for the athletes, as well as travel expenses for the team coaches. Thanks to an anonymous Gold Level sponsor, coaches expenses for the 2008 competitive season will be covered by St. Louis Elite, but there are many expenses that still need to be covered.

There are many ways you can support the team, from becoming a Gold Level sponsor yourself or simply shopping for St. Louis Elite whenever you buy online. Please contact us for more information on how you can become a sponsor.

Please allow us to introduce ourselves

March 31, 2007 · Filed Under Cheerleading, Fundraising, Trampoline and Tumbling · Comment

In 2003, St. Louis Elite Tramp and Tumble established a nationally recognized competitive team. We have trained many athletes at all levels, from beginners to elite competitors, producing many state, regional, and national champions.

St. Louis Elite Tramp and Tumble competes in a variety of local and out-of-town meets as members of USA Gymnastics Trampoline and Tumbling (USAG TT). Starting soon we will welcome our newest addition, St. Louis Elite All-Star Cheerleading. We are very proud of the level of past success achieved by our athletes and have high hopes for their future success.

To that end, we have formed the St. Louis Elite Not-for-profit corporation to help support these athletes as they learn and grow. This non-profit status will help us in our efforts to raise money to help our athletes train and compete. Please take a look at our Support the Team page to see how you can contribute and help us in our goals.

We’ve started this blog as a companion to the official St. Louis Elite website to share our love of trampoline and tumbling with those involved in the sport and those who are interested in what the sport has to offer. We hope you find it useful and informative, and look forward to hearing from you.
