Regional Championship Results
St. Louis Elite Trampoline & Tumbling of Hazelwood brought 12 athletes to compete at the Regional Championships and six of the athletes claimed Regional titles in some or all of their events. In addition, Amy Swartzbaugh won a spot on the Regional All-Star Team after two impressive double mini passes.
Over 500 athletes from states as far north as Michigan and south as Missouri gathered in Bloomington, Illinois, on May 18th and 19th for the 2007 USA Gymnastics Region IV Championships. In addition to competing for the Regional title on four events – trampoline, tumbling, double mini trampoline, and synchronized trampoline – each athlete was trying to qualify for the 2007 National Championships in Memphis, Tennessee. St. Louis Elite’s Kyle Fox to compete at USAG Elite Challenge
Most of the members of the St. Louis Elite Tramp and Tumble team compete at the Junior Olympic level. However, one of our athletes - Kyle Fox - has recently made the move to the Junior Elite Level in Power Tumbling.
When it comes time to qualify for the National Championships, the competition schedule is different for the Elite athletes than for our J.O. athletes. The Elite level athletes must qualify in one of two Elite level meets. Kyle will be competing this weekend in the USAG Elite Challenge in Colorado Springs.
Here’s a shot of Kyle in action at a meet earlier this season.
Go for it, Kyle, and fly high!!
